This weekend is a important one for a radical, awesome, sexy organization doing some some fundraising for their valuable work.
On Sunday, I'm co-running/hosting a panel for a new democratic school forming in Brooklyn called Freebrook Academy (yaay to nerds.) This is the project that Monique Scott, a long time member of Movement In Motion has started and been working on for many months - possibly longer than that.This weekend is a important one for a radical, awesome, sexy organization doing some some fundraising for their valuable work.
So this is the break down for Sunday:
Freebrook Academy 3pm - 5pm at Project Reach
YOUTH SPEAK OUT ON EDUCATION A panel discussion on "learning." Youth from several organizations and schools discuss their thoughts on learning in and out of school. Share your experiences. Suggested donation of $10 welcome. Bring youth - this is a YOUTH FRIENDLY EVENT.

Landmarks: The building is by a corner diner (Cup and Saucer) and on the street there's a daycare center mural, to the side of that is the entrance to the building. If you look up there's a big sign that says Karaoke Lounge enter under that sign.
